Data Visualization and Mapping with Tableau In-Person

With Dr. Miriam Posner, assistant professor in the Information Studies department at UCLA.

This workshop is designed for those who: 

  • are relatively new to working with data, data visualization, and mapping. 

  • are interested in using data for humanistic research. 

  • are new to the Tableau software for data visualization. 

This workshop will probably not be a good fit for experienced data analysts or those who wish to work with large scientific datasets. 

  

The Data Visualization and Mapping workshop is designed to be hands-on and participatory. Please bring a laptop (an iPad or other tablet won't suffice) and be prepared to work alongside other participants. Taking notes without participating will not be useful.
