Introduction to Open Educational Resources In-Person

Open Educational Resources have the potential to reduce overall course costs for students by limiting the number of courses where they must purchase individual copies of prorpietary textbooks. Students might use a library-licensed resource or the instructor may choose to use open access course materials that available to anyone.

If you decide to explore using OER's for your course, you'll want to consider issues of copyright, accessibility, and of course, whether the materials will fit with your course plans and learning outcomes.

In this introductory workshop, subject librarians Araba Dawson-Andoh and John Canter will provide an introduction to the selection and use of OERs to help you consider these concerns for your own teaching.

Ohio University Libraries are committed to providing programs and services that are accessible to all participating individuals. If you would like to request an accommodation for this event, please contact Jennifer Harvey at 740-593-2906 or harveyj1@ohio.edu.
