William Morris, Kelmscott Press, and the Book Beautiful: A Roundtable Discussion In-Person
Join us on Teams
Please join us for a conversation with Charles Buchanan from Interdisciplinary Arts, Neil Bernstein from Classics and Religious Studies, Miriam Shadis from History, and Nicole Reynolds and Joe McLaughlin from English. They will be discussing William Morris, the influence and impact of his Kelmscott Press, and the medieval books, including our own 13th century illuminated manuscript Bible, that helped inspire Morris's own handcrafting of beautiful books. See some of those books in an accompanying exhibit, William Morris in Books and Leaves, located on the 5th floor of Alden as well as online.
