Finding and Using Multimedia Content In-Person

The Libraries have purchased access to databases of streaming film content, images and music. Subject Librarian for Performing Arts, lorraine wochna will demonstrate how to discover and access open and licensed multimedia content for your in your classes.

This workshop is part of the Libraries' Alt-Textbooks Initiative, in which the Libraries seek to support the adoption of free or low-cost textbook alternatives. Participants in the Spring 2016 pilot of the initiative redesigned their courses and materials to help students in 23 different courses save $236,213 during the 2016-2017 academic year. Faculty interested in learning more about textbook alternatives can apply to join the Spring 2017 cohort and earn $250 for full attendance at the workshop series' six sessions and for committing to reducing the cost of course materials for students in at least one of their classes.
