Copyright and Library Resources In-Person
In this workshop, you'll learn how to use library-licensed content in your classes. Janet Hulm, Assistant Dean for Collections & Digital Initiatives will discusses issues surrounding use of the Libraries' digital resources, including copyright and fair use.
This workshop is part of the Libraries' Alt-Textbooks Initiative, in which the Libraries seek to support the adoption of free or low-cost textbook alternatives. Participants in the Spring 2016 pilot of the initiative redesigned their courses and materials to help students in 23 different courses save $236,213 during the 2016-2017 academic year. Faculty interested in learning more about textbook alternatives can apply to join the Spring 2017 cohort and earn $250 for full attendance at the workshop series' six sessions and for committing to reducing the cost of course materials for students in at least one of their classes.
